Police have taken three suspects including a female suspect into custody, a fourth suspect is holdup in a two story garage and police continue to negotiate with the suspect to surrender.

Dallas, Texas – On Thursday, Israel DeJesus, a witness at the Crowne Hotel began to video record a suspect who shot a Dallas police officer after the officer shot him in the back. The officer was shot multiple times by a suspect in body armor. The video was released to CNN by DeJesus, it showed a parked dark SUV, which the suspect drove and then engaged into a shootout with police after shooting one officer.
Police were able to take three suspects into custody including a female, according to Dallas Police Chief David Brown. The suspects detained are not cooperating with pilice. Another suspect is holdup in a two story garage and has indicated that bombs have been planted. Police continue to negotiate with the armed suspect in the garage to surrender. The suspect told police “that the end is coming.”
The Dallas Police Department reported that 11 police officers were shot and four of the officers were killed and one civilian was injured.
A mass protest was gathered in downtown Dallas in protest of several recent homicides of Afro-Americans, Alton Sterling, 37, in Louisiana by several Baton Rouge police officers and Philandro Cristle, 32, in Minnesota by a St. Anthony police officer.
Update: Shooting suspect Micah Xavier Johnson, 25, was identified as the Dallas sniper who fatally shot 5 Dallas police officers and wounded 7 other officers. Johnson was killed in a standoff with police.
